Order intake at record level
The Uhde group achieved a total order intake of €2,534.7 million at the end of the 2006/2007 business year. This intake includes important contracts, for example for a large-scale propylene/polypropylene complex in Egypt, a new coke plant in South Korea, a PVC plant in Ukraine, a plant complex for the combined production of biodiesel (methyl ester) and fatty alcohols in Thailand and also fertiliser complexes and polyester plants in the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa). In addition, we were awarded a contract for a chlor-alkali electrolysis plant in Germany. Orders in hand in the Uhde group reached €2,666.0 million (previous year: €1,451.6 million), representing an increase of 84%.
